🧬 How crossbreeding works
A plant crossbreeds off its touching neighbour plants. For each of its 6 slots, the neighbour genes vote with weights — green (G/Y/H) weigh 0.6, red (W/X) weigh 1.0 — and the highest total replaces the plant's own gene only if it beats it. Ties split evenly. Calculate finds the best centre + donors to hit your target; Auto path chains multiple generations. In the result grid, plant the centre plant in the middle and the donors on the surrounding slots (the 4 cardinals first, then the corners) so they touch the centre.
